You Gotta Be/Des'ree（デズリー）
先日、CISOCO RECORDSのランキングを見ていたら、このデズリーの「You gotta be」のリミックスが、首位になっていました。試聴してみたら、とっても原曲が聴きたくなりました。
いやぁ、Des'reeは「It's okay」など数々の名曲もありますが、この曲もヤバイですね。
"クラシック"と呼ぶにふさわしい時代を超えた名曲だと思います。
シンプルに始まるイントロ、非常に美しいメロディライン、非常にスムースに耳へ入ってくるフック、ナチュラルに唄というものをしっかり聴かせてくれる。
そして、日本人の私でも、非常にきれいに英語が聞こえます。アーティストにとって、"歌う"という当たり前の行動のテクニックの高さを思い知らされます。
私の中で勝手な判断ではありますが、"名曲"と呼ぶに相応しい曲と言うのは、"聴いて、鳥肌が立つもの"という基準があります。
...素晴らしいの一言。
